if you find the Galesburg Pass. station, look across the street(same side of the the tracks) theres a BN caboose. The building there is a Childrens museum, its on the corner of that building, facing the crossing. my dad has taken a picture of it, i think. let me dig around and see if i can find it.

Wow never knew we had a cam on us. Except for YD Control's. I would wave but youll never see me on that cam unless you can see the Peoria connection or coach yard wye from it.
Bet it is a neat shot of the 3006 from that view can I ask where you go to view it?

Yes we are on time but this is yesterdays train

Looks to be real close to the Amtrak depot on S. Seminary St., which I think is on the former ATSF line?

Its the BN line.Look right and you can see the Mendota Barstow Jct. Amtraks depot is to the left and behind. 3006 Hudson is just out of frame to the left. Main two is the first track there.
Santa Fes depot was torn down after they shifted the Chief to the Mendota side and off the Chilli.
Picture is a year or so old as at the Museum now there is a caboose (to the left of the building in the shot shown) and the Galesburg Rail musuem has a depot looking structure between the Amtrak depot and the afore mentioned Hudson.
This web cam youll see a lot of remotes pulling out trains on Main two and then shoving back into the yard. Also a lot of coal MTY's and loads. Plus 6 Amtrak trains a dayBoth the Cali the Chief and the Quincy Amtrak which is a pull pull set up and shows up early in the morning going to Chicago and at about 9 pm roughly heading back to Quincy. It will be on main two each way as it takes the Peoria connection to go down the east side of the yard on the Quincy main.

Is the Willis Steel webcam in Galesburg (on the former Santa Fe tracks) no longer in operation? I can find no mention of it on their website anymore.
